WIPA 2017—Top 10 (Open Category)

Here are the much-awaited Top 10 Honorable Mentions of the Wildlife India Photography Awards 2017! Apart from a certificates and this online gallery, the winners images will be a part of a coffee table book on wildlife photography, featuring some of the biggest names in genre. This beautiful book is printed on HP’s Indigo 10000 Digital Press. All the proceeds from the sale of the book will be going to a wildlife conservation fund, which will be announced very soon.

These photographs made it through two rounds of judging. The first round was judged by photographers Kedar Bhide, Nirbhay Patil and Kedar Bhat, who sifted through close to 7000 photographs and came up with the 160 nominees in the Open Category and 22 in the Emerging Photographer of the Year category. You can read about the entire judging process here. The second round was judged by Nayan Khanolkar and Dhritiman Mukherjee, who selected these photographs.
