World-renowned Magnum Photos, the agency (provider of photographs to the press, publishers, advertising, television, galleries and museums across the world) based in New York, London, Paris and Tokyo has introduced the Magnum Blog. It is an online forum for discussing photography and photojournalism, documentary, story telling, visual arts and related topics and is intended to inspire debate. Mangum invites the blog’s readers to actively post comments to the stories, adding examples of their own experiences, their questions, and their criticisms. What you will currently find is essays and podcasts that can be browsed by category, author, or date. You will also find stories from within Magnum Photos Inc, for example, the tasks, challenges and thoughts of the people working in the four offices, the gargantuan task of digitizing the archive of an agency celebrating its 60th anniversary this year; or promoting relevant and evocative storytelling in a rapidly changing media market.
