photokina Opens in Cologne this September

The biannual trade fair for photography and imaging industries, photokina is going to kick off on 20 September at the Koelnmesse Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre in Cologne, Germany. Staying true to their motto ‘Imaging Unlimited’, the fair will be focusing on highlighting the several novel ways of imagery, focusing on the new generation of enthusiasts.

“photokina stands for the unlimited possibilities of imaging. Thanks to smartphones and tablets, new target groups of image enthusiasts are arising which we want to reach with the concept. The concept exploits the full potential of the imaging branch and offers chances for sustained growth in the changing imaging environment,” says Katharina C Hamma, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse GmbH. This year, photokina will screen motion pictures and conduct a short film festival for visitors along with projections, photo promotions and workshops.
