Zeiss Releases Full Frame Lenses For Sony Mirrorless
Zeiss just announced the new Loxia series at photokina. Zeiss looks to combine image quality with ease of use for E-mount full-frame cameras with the Loxia range.
The Loxia lenses key highlights include optimization for digital sensors and viewfinders, mechanical aperture setting and mechanical deactivation of the aperture click stops i.e. the declick option. Optically, Loxia 35mm f/2 is based on the Zeiss Biogon 35mm f/2 ZM lens while the Loxia 50mm f/2 is based on Zeiss Plannar 50/2 ZM.
The Loxia 50mm f/2 lens will be available around the world on October 2014 and the Loxia 35mm f/2 will release from the end of the fourth quarter of 2014. The retail price of the Loxia 35mm f/2 will be 965 Euros (approx Rs 75,000) and that of the Loxia 50mm f/2 will cost 713 Euros (approx Rs 55,000).Tags: de-click, E mount, full frame, loxia, Loxia 35/2, Loxia 50/2, Zeiss
