Vipin Pawar: Get Things Right Before You Shoot

Instead of wasting energy correcting mistakes, I use my time to keep track of records and understand the sport better. Photograph/Vipin Pawar
Vipin Pawar is a strong believer in getting the perfect photograph within the camera itself, so that you do not have to leave anything to the computer. He discusses this with Raj Lalwani.
Whatever I shoot, I try to compose the frame perfectly before I trigger the shutter. With digital, a lot of people say that they will correct their mistakes in Photoshop, but this only leads to a careless attitude while shooting. The get-it-right philosophy is particularly important while photographing sports.
Arriving at the Precise Moment of Clarity
After capturing a great moment in an important match, one needs to really rush to file the pictures. I cannot afford to spend time cropping an image because I did not get the framing right, in the first place.
How does one acquire such precision? Know the technicalities so well that you can concentrate on the moment. Then, it is all about practice, practice and more practice!
