What the View From Space Is Like

The visuals sent down from the International Space Station (ISS) can revive your childhood dreams of becoming an astronaut. Imagine having a place where you can see what the view from a space station is like. That is exactly what Dave MacLean from the Center of Geographic Sciences has made possible with an interactive map that has photographs shot by ISS astronauts on Expeditions 40 and 41.

The placeholders on the map indicate where the photograph is taken. The colours and letters are a reference to the astronaut that took the photograph. Definitely look out for the photographs from astronauts Reid Wiseman and Alex Gerst.

This map also tracks the ISS orbit with just a one minute delay! If you love space or just want to see great photographs, this map is definitely a treat for you.
