TIPA World Awards 2021’s Best Professional Video Camera Goes to Panasonic

 

Panasonic’s LUMIX DC-BGH1 has won the TIPA World Award 2021. They are one of the many winners who have been presented with this prestigious award. Every year, the TIPA General Assembly consisting of 26 member magazines from around the world, come together to choose the most stellar products in the imaging industry. Of them, Better Photography, the only Indian member of TIPA, was represented by Shridhar Kunte, Deputy Editor—Technical.

The Panasonic LUMIX BGH1 is a box style digital cinema camera that weighs in at 0.54kg, and its compact enough to be used on a drone or gimbal, yet is also perfect for use as a broadcast, live streaming, vlogging and cinema production device. With a 10.2MP MFT sensor and lens mount, the BGH1 easily links up with other cameras to provide multi-camera environments that allow WiFi and Bluetooth functionality for monitoring, configuration and control via smartphone or tablet. An internal fan keeps the camera cool during long shoots, with a protective aluminium and magnesium housing and numerous mounting options for flexible rigging. It offers multiple recording modes such as C4K/4K 60fps 4:2:0 10-bit, 4:2:2 30fps 10-bit ALL-Intra 400Mbps recording, and V-Log L with 13 stops of dynamic range. Its sound recording and output make this an extremely versatile pro camera.
