Samsung Launches Galaxy A8 with a 16MP Camera

 

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A8, which features a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The smartphone is 5.9mm thick.

The rear camera features autofocus, optical image stabilisation, f/1.9 aperture, a 120° wide-angle lens and LED flash. The camera can be activated quickly by pressing the home button twice. Other key features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR. It can shoot 1080p video at 30fps.

The Galaxy A8 is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by an octacore Samsung Exynos 5430 SoC. Other key features include a 5.7-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920p) resolution Super Amoled display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB in-built storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), and a 3050mAh battery. Measuring 158 x 76.8 x 5.9mm, the Galaxy A8 weighs 151 grams.

Available currently, the smartphone is priced at Rs. 32,500.
