Quote of the Week by Sebastião Salgado

“I don’t believe a person has a style. What people have is a way of photographing what is inside them. What is there, comes out.” —Sebastião Salgado (1944)

Sebastião Salgado was trained as an economist before he gave it up for a career devoted to social and environmental photography. He has travelled to over a 100 countries for his photographic projects and has published several photobooks on them such as Workers and Genesis. He is also one of UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassadors and an honorary member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences in the United States.
