photokina: Events on 28 September
photokina, the world’s leading trade fair in imaging and photographic industries, is being held from 26-29 September in Cologne, Germany. The trade fair will display several exhibitions and galleries spreading over various stages during the course of the fair. These events scheduled for 28 September are a must watch.
1. 2nd Annual Photography contest Perspectives @ Photokina 2018
It will present the winners of this year’s PhotoPlus Expo contest, Perspectives, which asked photographers around the world to celebrate the human experience through five categories: Portraits, Street Photography, Food Photography, and Architecture and Landscapes.
2. Stern Magazin presents: Tim Flach – Endangered
The portraits by Tim Flach of endangered species speak directly to the heart, soul and understanding. The multi-award-winning London photographer is well-known for his exceptional imagery, capturing both the beauty and unique characteristics of animals. The production of this exhibition is very special, as it has been carried out with ChromaLuxe technology.
3. FUJIFILM Global Photo Exhibition – Inspire Printing
Within the slogan “celebrate the everyday”, the meaning of everyday moments should be brought into focus and sensitize for the haptic image. Between May and July 2018, photo enthusiasts from 27 European countries were invited to upload their photo and take the chance to be a part of the exhibition Shoot.Print.Share @Inspire Printing at this year’s photokina. From thousands of submissions, over 10,000 pictures were finally selected, which will now be shown as part of Shoot.Print.Share @Inspire Printing.
4. Athletic moment ~ The photography of Bob Martin
Focusing on his current works such as 2018 PyeongChang Olympic and Wimbledon championship, Bob Martin will present his story behind each picture and hints on sports photo shooting.
5. Star photographer Guido Karp – 30 years as a music photographer
Guido’s presentation will cover his 30 plus years as a music photographer – discussing his career, his image making and techniques – particularly concert photography as well as personal anecdotes with some the worlds most renowned music artists.
