Optivelox’s LxMeter Turns Smartphone into Light and Flash Meter

 

Optivelox has launched the LxMeter, a device that can convert smartphones into a light and flash meter. The device is capable of working with the Android-based smartphones via a dedicated app. The company notes that the device is compatible with iPhones, but a dedicated app has not been released yet.

With the LxMeter, users can trigger a flash via Bluetooth and compatible receivers. The device is capable of capturing very short light impulses and it also can measure flash output. The LxMeter app contains a database of flash time values for many known flash models and the users can manually add the information of their flash models, if they are not in the database.

The device is currently available in two versions starting from USD 65 (approx. Rs. 4150).
