Olympus Announces Pricing and Availability of Air A01

 

Olympus has announced the pricing and availability of the new Air A01. The camera was launched in Japan earlier this year. The main highlight of this 16MP camera is it does not feature an integrated display and it looks more like a lens. The wireless connectivity in the Air A01 enables users to pair it with a smartphone or a tablet.

Other key features of the camera include a 16MP Four Third CMOS sensor, TruePic III processor, ISO setting of up to 12,800, MFT lens mount, M.Zukio digital lenses, a silent electronic shutter with maximum shutterspeed of 1/16000 second, 1080p continues video recording at 10fps, a 3x digital zoom, RAW capture, WiFi and Bluetooth.

Central for Olympus Air is the dedicated app for this camera. The Air A01 comes with a clamp to attach it with a smartphone or tablet.

The camera only is priced at USD 299 (approx. Rs. 19,020) and along with a 14–42mm EZ kit lens it costs USD 499 (approx. Rs. 31,740). The Olympus Air A01 is currently available in the USA and Canada. Pricing and availability in India are not yet announced by the company.
