Lytro Announces Two New Updates

Lytro has released two new updates, Illum 2.0 and Desktop 4.3. The new Illum 2.0 enables users of Lytro’s light-field camera with a new design and user interface with fullscreen views. The Lytro Desktop 4.3 offers photographers faster processing, more outputs including 3D lenticular prints and stereoscopic side-by-side 3D animations.

“The Lytro Illum is more than just a camera. It is a powerful light field imaging platform with the ability to expand its capabilities with each update. We have released more than a dozen updates since launching Lytro Illum last year, something that is rare in the photography industry,” said Jason Rosenthal, CEO of Lytro.

The Illum 2.0 update features improved focus aids, full living picture playback on camera, native editing in Adobe Photoshop and an improved autofocus that is up to three times faster.

With the Desktop 4.3 update, users can import images without processing. The Depth Map Editing allows users make adjustments to depth.

The free update can be downloaded from the company’s official website.
