Kumbacam’s 3-axis Stabilisation for Smartphones and GoPros
Cameras like the GoPro are frequently used in films for additional footage, and the video quality of smartphones is becoming better with each new launch. Supporting this trend is Kumbacam, which has announced two similar gimbals, one for smartphones and one for the GoPro Hero3, to help make most of their increasingly superior video capabilities. The gimbals basically offer a three axis stablisation, which is perfect to create steady video footage with the devices. The function of the gimbal is much like that of a Steadicam rig.
Much like other gimbals available, Kumbacam’s one-handed gimbals use brushless motors so that users can pan, tilt and roll their respective cameras and get stabilised footage. The device is fairly simple to use, with a handle and a mount to secure your camera or phone, and is attachable to an extension pole.
The smartphone version is available for pre-order, while the GoPro version is available right now. Both gimbals are priced for USD 310 (approx. Rs. 18,000) and you can order them here.Tags: 3 Axis Stabilisation Gimbal, gimbal, GoPro accessory, GoPro Hero 3, GoPro video stablisation rig, Kumbacam, smartphone videography, stabilisation, video accessory
