India to Become the Third Largest in Creative Imaging: Nikon India MD
India is strongly expected to emerge as the third largest market in terms of revenue for the creative imaging market in the next 5 years, said Nikon India’s Managing Director, Kazuo Ninomiya.
Speaking at the launch of the company’s first COOLPIX zone in Jamshedpur, Ninomiya added that 5 years ago India stood at 15th place globally for revenues generated in creative imaging sector and now it stands at the 5th rank.
“In view of its potential as well as the fascination for photography in the country, I can assure that India will become world’s no. 3 country of the world in next five year time,” noted Ninomiya.
Nikon India, which recorded turnover of Rs. 1100 crore in previous financial year, expects to grow by 30-50% in coming 5 years.
Nikon India’s first COOLPIX zone aims to offer the photography enthusiasts of the city and nearby cities like Dhanbad and Deoghar a greater accessibility to the entire Nikon’s COOLPIX range along with the select DSLR range, Nikon 1 series, select array of Nikkor lenses and Nikon accessories.
“With the inauguration of the first COOLPIX zone in the major industrial zone in India, Jamshedpur, we aim to create a completely immersive experience for our consumers. These zones are the Nikon’s persistent approach for a greater customer engagement to reach out to all the people in Tier II and III markets with an aim to promote photography as a culture and also allow them a direct access to Nikon products,” said Ninomiya.Tags: Nikkor lenses, Kazuo Ninomiya, Creative imaging, Nikon India’s Managing Director, COOLPIX zone
