DJI Launches Phantom 3 Standard Camera Drone
DJI has unveiled the Phantom 3 Standard camera drone for consumer-level use. The integrated camera in the quadcopter allows users to shoot 2.7K (2740 x 1520p) video at 30fps. It also can capture 12MP still images in RAW and JPEG format.
The drone’s camera features a 1/2.3-inch 12 megapixel sensor and a 94° field of view with a 20mm equivalent f/2.8 lens. The camera can shoot video at ISO settings of up to 3200 and can capture images at ISO settings of up to 1600. In addition, the camera features photography modes such as Single shot, Burst mode, Auto exposure Bracketing, Bracketed frames and Time lapse. The camera is equipped with an 8GB microSD card.
The drone camera is also capable of shooting 1080p video at up to 30fps and 720p video at up to 60fps.
The WiFi enabled Phantom 3 Standard allows users to see what their camera sees in near real time in HD, capture photos, start/stop record for video and to adjust camera settings via the updated DJI Go app.
The drone camera is equipped with intelligent flight features including Follow Me, Waypoint Navigation and Point of Interest.
