  • Even as markets get more specialised, what do people look for today, in terms of your product categories?
The Indian camera market is growing at a steady pace. The entry-level DSLR cameras have seen a growth recently and remain the most popular amongst other DSLRs on offer.  At the same time, we have seen consistency in more professional cameras, as pro buyers are increasing and photographers are becoming more sophisticated. Our Cinema EOS cameras, cine prime lens and cine zoom lens, along with professional video cameras range are widely used across domains like motion pictures, TV productions, documentaries, news, web episodes, film and television academies/universities and high-end premium weddings as well.Canon also has one of the biggest selection of prime lenses in the industry. Some select fast aperture zoom lenses and L-series lenses are also becoming popular.  When looked at amateurs and first time buyers, they tend to opt for zoom lenses, whether the standard zoom kit or a step up lens.
  • What are you expectations in the coming year, in terms of growth?
Canon’s camera division spearheads Canon’s business growth story in India. With our existing range of dynamic products we have been successful in addressing the imaging needs of the consumers. With the launch of our new cameras in the market in the year 2017, we have seen a huge potential and demand from our entry-level cameras and our high-end professional cameras. We will continue to do so in this year as well.Through its robust product lineup that effectively responds to the needs of a wide range of users, Canon has continuously secured the top global share within the industry.
