Casio Launches 12MP and 16MP Exilim Cameras

 

Casion Computer has announced two new Exilim compact cameras, EX-ZR3000 and EX-ZR60, which feature a 12MP 1/1.7-inch BSI CMOS sensor and a 16MP 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor respectively.

The EX-ZR3000 features a 12x, 25–300mm equivalent zoom range and RAW shooting. On the other hand, the EX-ZR60 features a 25–250mm equivalent zoom range.

Both the cameras are equipped with a flip-up LCD and a secondary shutter button for capturing selfies. In addition, the cameras are WiFi enabled. Both cameras can also shoot 1000fps video at 224 x 64p resolution.

The EX-ZR3000 and EX-ZR60 are priced at 10,000 yen (approx. Rs. 5150) and 15,000 yen (approx. Rs. 7775) respectively. Launched initially in Japan only, the EX-ZR3000 will be available from 31 July 2015, while the EX-ZR60 will hit the Japanese markets from 28 August 2015. The global availability along with the pricing are expected to be announced by the company later.
