Canon Launches 50.6MP Full-Frame DSLR cameras in India
Canon India, today, has unveiled full frame DSLR cameras – Canon EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R. The company claims the new offerings are the world’s highest resolution DSLR cameras.
In addition, Canon India has also introduced XC 10 – a 4K professional video camera for HD shooting. XC 10 can also capture still photographs of 12MP.
Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO, Canon India said, “Canon’s vision has always been to give the industry newer experiences of creating high quality imaging, both in photography and videography. Understanding the rapidly changing and ever increasing requirements of the imaging industry and professionals, Canon keeps launching more evolved and technologically progressed products.”
The EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R feature a 50.6-megapixel 35mm and full-frame CMOS sensor processor. The EOS 5DS R enables cancellation of its Optical Low Pass Filter (LPF) effect. On the other hand, the EOS 5DS is equipped with the functional LPF.

The XC10 features Genuine Canon 10x wide-angle zoom lens with 2x digital tele-converter, optical image stabilization and DIGIC DV5 signal processor.
The EOS 5DS, EOS 5DS R and XC 10 are priced at Rs. 252,995, Rs. 265,995 and Rs. 170,000 respectively.
