Canon has announced the 550D with 18 MP sensor, full HD-recording at 1080p resolution (at 30 fps), advanced 63 zone metering system and a 3.7 frame per second burst speed and a high resolution LCD.
Well, 1500/2000D may just be round the corner! |

ya if u r taking the marriage pics ur 4gb /8gb card would soon be full.... then u need atleast 2 8gb cards...
then comes the jpeg files 8gb card which would be 2-4gb hehehhhe

Ashvary, I'm not taking your bait.
Yet, please do not forget that you are talking of two highly sophisticated cameras and it is rather sad that you have chosen to dwell on one out of a long list of aptitudes to deride at a capable imaging equipment, Nikon D90. I do not own either of the two DSLRs mentioned by you and any decisions I may arrive at will be based on secondary data, either the pictorial output or the analysis thereof available at the Net and other media, of the two cameras at different ISOs. And if I'm allowed to use your own yardstick, The Canon 550D has an on-board flash which is blind as a bat to Canon flashlight systems! You think it is an insignificant omission? Think of those who can afford to purchase only one Speedlight and want to use it off camera.
No, this may not be a deal-breaker for some. Similarly, high ISO performances may not be a deal-breaker for the others. Therefore, Sir, it is my humble submission that you do not write off the Nikon D90 in such a hasty and unfortunate manner, that too, when most folks may have barely been able to sniff through the new Canon 550D. |

Also there is no sense for me to appreciate Canon or wave off Nikon coz till now I am not a fanboy of either of them...

Hi Umaji & Ashvary,
Read your conversation chain, and enjoyed it.
Thanks to Umaji for the news about the launch of EOS 550D.
Ashvary, I saw the pics in the links that u have mentioned.
If one takes a casual look then sure the 550D scores over D90, at 3200 ISO.
However, on a closer look what I can see is that the shot taken by 550D was under much better lit conditions than the one taken my D90.
I am not a inclined towards any one of the manufacturers, but still I will go with Umaji, and say that we cannot judge the cameras with photos on the links.
If it was same shot taken by both cams, at similar light conditions, it would be a much better and even comparison.
Well, thats just my opinion....  |

Yeh! you are right porno..
The 550D shot is in better lit condition..
As said, when same location shot is taken with both camera, then the things could be best judged..
But now a days, these face to face comparison is least seen in the websites... |
