Tracking the Sun

Are there any tools that help landscape photographers track the position of the sun?

The app you need is The Photographer’s Ephemeris. It uses Google Maps to show you the position of the sun or moon at any time of the day. Additionally, it doesn’t require a data connection for these functions, which is useful when you are in a no-network area. Other useful features include notifications about key celestial events for the year, pinpointing & saving key locations among others. It also tells you the time when the sun will pop out from behind a hill. The app is available on iOS (Rs. 540), Android (Rs. 300) and there is also a free desktop version.

A great tool once you get the hang of it, TPE lets you track the position of the sun at any time of the day.
