Tip of the Day: Reach the Location Early

When you are photographing festivals, get to the location at least a day or two before it is due to begin, so that you can scout for good locations and understand the various photographic possibilities.

Interact with the locals and ask them about their experiences over the past few years. It will give you a better idea of what to expect and any potential problems that you will need to safeguard against.
