A look at Aashim Tyagi‘s photographs of the trains in Colombo. 

The passing train could embody a life in transit or a life that is hard to keep up with. For Aashim Tyagi, the time that he spent in a room overlooking the stretch of railway tracks right opposite the sea in Colombo, with little sleep and only the salty breeze to provide some respite, the passing train became the surreal embodiment of the dichotomy that exists in our urban landscapes. Here’s a look at his series titled Trains of Colombo.
