The Hamdan International Photography Award was established in 2011 by His Highness Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, to encourage and promote art, culture and innovation. In 2014 it announced a competition with the theme Creating the Future. With categories like General, Black and White and Street Life, the contest received numerous entries from all around the world.
