After I came back from a trip, the On/Off switch of my Nikon D700 seemed less smooth. This problem got solved on its own, and two weeks later, resurfaced. What should I do?

This problem is most likely due to moisture. It can take place when you leave an airconditioned room and go outdoors. Keep your camera in a large zip-lock bag in your bag while taking it from one environment to another. It is advisable to go to your nearest service centre if the problem continues to recur.
