Photography for a Cause
A sociologist, teacher and photographer, Lewis Hine realised in 1904 that photography could be used as a medium for social change. He went on to create some significant work in the field. After joining the National Child Labor Committee as a photographer, he spent over a decade documenting the working conditions of child labourers, eventually leading to an alteration in US child labour laws.
