Inexpensive Light Tent

I want to shoot handmade jewellery and I do not have the resources to invest in a light tent, what are my alternatives?

You can construct a simple tent using a cardboard box as a frame and butter paper as the diffusing material for three sides of the box. Use a white card or chart paper to form the seamless background of the tent. You could use household lamps so that your tent is lit from all directions. If the jewellery is reflective, you need to be careful about shadows and casts.

You do not always need a complicated lighting setup for to shoot products at home. Simple household items can do the trick.
