Did You Know: A Stamp was issued Honoring Raja Deen Dayal

In November 2006, the Ministry of Communications, Department of Posts released a commemorative stamp honouring Indian photography pioneer Lala Deen Dayal. The Rs. 5 stamp was issued in collaboration with a curated collection of his work exhibited during the times Hyderabad Festival 2006. Deen Dayal’s photography career began in the mid-1870s. He was the court photographer for Mahbub Ali Khan, the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad, and also the photographer for Queen Victoria.
