“In many ways, this photograph encapsulates my adventurous and free-spirited nature, just like the expressions on the children’s face.”

The kawa hot bath is native to the residents of the western Visayas region in Philippines. Here, children often enjoy a quick afternoon dip in a wok. Medicinal leaves are also added to the bath, as the locals believe in its healing properties. The gleeful and inviting expressions of the children prompted me to make the photograph.

James’ Tip
Choosing a Good Vantage Point
