5 Day Street Documentary & Reportage Workshop with Philip Blenkinsop

 

Venue: Goethe-Institut, Chennai

Dates: 19–23 February, 2016

Three-time Visa d’Or Award and two-time World Press Photo Award winner Philip Blenkinsop will be conducting a five-day street documentary and reportage workshop at the Chennai Photo Biennale. The participants will be capturing standalone images over a four-day shooting period in Chennai. The theory will focus on the development of an increased awareness of our surroundings and of the conscious/subconscious mind’s-eye-choreography of elements and subjects that lies at the heart of successful street photography. Images will be critiqued daily, with the final day focusing on the skills required to construct a coherent narrative with the images edited from the week’s work.

Participants are required to have their own DSLRs, a manual focus prime lens, a laptop with editing programme and a portable hard drive.
