David Chancellor was the 2013 winner in the Professional category, based on the human-wildlife conflict.

The Competition: The Vienna International Photo Award’s (VIPA) main agenda is to draw attention to the theme of documentary photography in Austria and worldwide. The jury consists of Raed Bawayah, photographer; Philippe Deblauwe, Founder Picturetank photo agency; Monica Suder, creative and career coach, consultant, lecturer and panelist with the International Photographic Community and Yulia Tikhomirova, curator.

Categories: Professional, Amateur and Smartphone.

Prizes: The Professional category winner will receive 4000 euros (approx. Rs. 3,35,620).
The Amateur category winner will receive 3000 euros (approx. Rs. 2,50,930).
The Smartphone category winner will receive 2000 euros (approx. Rs. 1,65,285).
Apart from this, the shortlisted winners will be a part of a group exhibition in Vienna as well as publication in VIPA’s official catalog.

Entry Fee: Participants will have to pay 35 euros (approx. Rs. 2920 ) for 1-5 images.
