Syngenta Photography Award

 

The Competition: Since 2013, the Syngenta Photography Award has been encouraging photographers from all over the world to explore important social and environmental issues. There are two categories that photographers can submit their images to—Professional Commission and Open Competition.

Theme: Scarcity-Waste

Prize: Under Professional Commission, the recipient of the first prize will not only be awarded USD 15,000 (approx. Rs. 8,90,780) but will also receive a commission worth up to an additional USD 25,000 (approx. Rs. 1,490,730), to facilitate them to further explore the theme. The second and third prize winner under the category will receive USD 10,000 (approx. Rs. 5,95,540)and USD 5000 (approx. Rs. 3,00,000) respectively.

Under Open Competition, the first, second and third prize winners will receive USD 5000, USD 3000 (approx. Rs. 1,80,800) and USD 2000 (approx. Rs. 1,20,200) respectively.

In addition to this, all the winners will have their photographs featured in the International New York Times and even showcased at an exhibition at the Somerset House in London.
