The Competition: The 2016 Sony World Photography Awards is the world’s largest photography competition that aims to provide a global platform to emerging photographers and a key opportunity to professional photographers to get their work noticed. The participants can submit their entries to any of the competitions: Professional; Open; Youth; National Awards and Student Focus.

Prizes: Prizes worth USD 30,000 (approx. Rs. 19,15,450) will be given to the winners. In addition, winners will be presented latest Sony digital imaging equipments. Also, the winning and shortlisted entries will be included in the Sony World Photography Awards exhibition (during 22 April – 8 May 2016) at Somerset House, London and in the 2016 awards’ book.
