Legacy of Photojournalism: The Deepak Puri Collection opens in Mumbai

 

Tasveer and the Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) are organising a photo exhibition titled Legacy of Photojournalism: The Deepak Puri Collection in Mumbai, at the TARQ gallery, on the 28th of April 2016. This show is a tribute to Deepak Puri, former general manager and iconic photo editor of the Time-Life News Service’s South Asia bureau, and will showcase photographs from his collection. His collection is considered to be one of the largest archives from the 20th century and it contains over 150 images made by 30 best documentary photographers around the world including James Nachtwey, Sebastião Salgado and Raghu Rai, to name but a few.
