Fujifilm X-E1

After the award-winning X-Pro1, Fujifilm has announced the release of the X-E1 premium interchangeable lens camera system. The X-E1 follows in the tradition of the X-Pro1 and utilises the same proprietary 16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor and the same X-Mount for use with Fujinon XF lenses, all in a body that is 30% smaller than the X-Pro1.

The X-E1 comes equipped with a high definition, high luminance OLED electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 2.36 million dots, that is one of the highest resolutions available on an EVF-equipped digital camera today. Alongside the X-E1 come a 18–55mm f/2.8–4 stabilised kit zoom that promises AF times as fast as 0.1 seconds when the two are used together. The kit will sell for a recommended price of around USD 1,399.95 (approx. Rs. 77,000), or USD 999.95 (approx. Rs. 55,400) without a lens.
