The Competition: In the spirit of giving emerging photographers an opportunity to work on their personal projects, Burn magazine has announced the 2015 Emerging Photographer Fund grant. Inspired by Vivian Maier, unknown to her peers at the time and also an emerging photographer herself, Burn is looking for photographers whose work either reflects a journalistic mission or is an outcome of purely personal artistic imperatives.
Prizes: The recipient of the grant will receive USD 10,000 (approx. Rs. 6,20,890). Additionally, a separate Young Emerging Photographer Fund grant worth USD 5000 (approx. Rs. 3,10,445) and a camera valued in excess of USD 1000 (approx. Rs. 62,295) courtesy of Fujifilm, will be awarded to one photographer below the age of 25 years.
Entry Fee: USD 25 (approx. Rs. 1560).
