Canon Unveils the PowerShot G1 X Mark II
Canon has launched a replacement to the G1 X, the PowerShot G1 X Mark II, with several upgrades to the original.
The camera features a new 1.5-inch 12.8MP CMOS sensor, a DIGIC 6 processor, a faster 24–120mm equivalent f/2-3.9 zoom lens, a closer focusing distance, ISO range between 100 and 12,800, a 31-point AF system, a 3-inch 1.04M-dot tilting touchscreen, 1080/30p video capabilities and built-in WiFi and NFC. The camera also uses 31 AF points, compared to the PowerShot G1 X camera that uses nine. Canon is also offering an optional viewfinder, the EVF-DC1, along with the camera. An optional grip will also be available.
The PowerShot G1 X Mark II digital camera will be available starting in April for a retail price of USD 799.99 (approx. Rs. 50,000).
