Wildlife Photographer of the Year
The competition: Organised by the Natural History Museum, the contest aims to celebrate the wonderful diversity of life, to inspire and inform, and to create advocates for the planet. It champions ethical wildlife photography, rewarding truthful representations of nature that display respect for animals and the environment. It is open to amateur and professional photographers across the globe.
Categories: The contest is divided into main categories—Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Under each segment are various subcategories such as 10 Years and Under, Oceans — The Bigger Pictures, Natural Artistry, Wetlands, among others.
Prizes: The title winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Young Wildlife Photographer will receive a cash prize of 10,000 Pounds (approx. Rs. 9,65,660) and 1000 Pounds (approx. Rs. 96,566) respectively. The winners of Wildlife Photographer of the Year categories will receive a cash prize of 1250 Pounds (approx. Rs. 1,20,707).
