Title: Food for Thought “At an event in a club, while a waiter was about to serve food, I asked him to stand still while I composed the shot. I used creative cropping to emphasise the moment and the various hues in the frame.” Camera: Canon EOS 40D ISO: 100 Aperture: f/6.3 Shutterspeed: 1/60sec Photograph/Atul Pratap Chauhan, New Delhi

- Title: The Lonely Verandah “While I was shooting around my locality, I saw a woman sitting in her veranda and staring at the sky. I found her expression and the whole ambience to be very serene, and so I decided to take the picture. I also felt the sunlight framed her face in a beautiful manner.” Camera: Canon PowerShot A620 IS ISO: 400 Aperture: f/5.6 Shutterspeed: 1/50sec Photograph/Chandan Bhowmik, Kolkata
- Title: The Sound of Music “I was at the beach when I noticed a boy selling flutes. I thought of framing the picture from the high angle to make it unusual. I like how the flutes reeds create the leading lines in the frame.” Camera: Nikon D90 ISO: 200 Aperture: f/5 Shutterspeed: 1/400sec Photograph/Jaya Kumar, Chennai
- Title: The Squeeze “A washerman was washing clothes, when I realised that this was a good photo opportunity. Instead of photographing a head on shot, I experimented with a quick zoom burst and I got this image.” Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S9100 ISO: 400 Aperture: f/6.4 Shutterspeed: 1/160sec Photograph/Biplab Sikdar, Kolkata
- Title: It’s Feeding Time! “Amongst the hustle and bustle at the Gateway of India, I spotted this kid quietly feeding the pigeons. I had to wait for the perfect moment. The feathers create a natural frame for the kid and highlights the child’s caring nature.” Camera: Nikon D3000 ISO: 400 Aperture: f/5.6 Shutterspeed: 1/2000sec Photograph/Varun Raj, Mumbai
- Title: Ecstatic Colours “Holi is the most colourful festival in India, and it is also a festival where one can find a plethora of human emotions. Amidst the revelries, a boy was seen laughing, his face covered with the colours of the festival.” Camera: Canon EOS 350D ISO: 200 Aperture: f/5 Shutterspeed: 1/125sec Photograph/A M Ahad, Dhaka
