Contest: For the Love of Nature

THE DANCING EGRETS

image description
Vijay kumar Puthiyaveetal Secunderabad, India
One sunning morning, I was walking past this lake, when I stopped to watch some cattle egrets flying. After some time I saw these three egrets trying to land on the branches of a tree devoid of leaves. In the diffused early morning sunlight their wing appeared to glow and they seem to perform an aerial acrobatics which reminded me of the Russian ballet. Since I carried a camera I quickly composed this frame of dancing egrets over a highly polluted lake infested with water hyacinth.
