Contest: Unseen Nature | Better Photography Weekly Challenge

This monitor lizard monitors our lawn

image description
Priyanka Pandiyan Dimapur, India
Monitor lizard, locally known as the 'gui xaap' is considered non-poisonous, likes to home in jungles and found again mostly in the northeast of India. It also serves as a delicacy to some tribes eating them. But they may grow to a gigantic size which is definitely not pleasing for the faint hearted.
