Contest: Tips on Macro Photography

bubbly blossom pearls

image description
Shalini Dhameja Gurgaon, India
This is Macro shot of a flowers petals dipped in soda. The air bubbles adhere to the petals and create pearl like globules accentuating the beauty of the flower. Flash is best to use as light ssource and shutter speed must be around 1/320 or higher as bubbles are constantly moving around and can cause blurs. The pinkish tone is created by placing pink and lilac paper in the background, under the glass bowl in which I placed the soda n flower
