Jumping Yeti

In the folklore of Nepal, Yeti is an ape-like entity, taller than an average human, that is said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. Do you see the cloud yeti in the sky? Well, I see. This phenomenon is known as pareidolia. Pareidolia is a type of apophenia, which is a more generalized term for seeing patterns in random data. Some common examples are seeing a likeness of Jesus in the clouds or an image of a man on the surface of the moon. Also, the sky shows brilliant shades of orange and blue, thanks to Rayleigh scattering. A perfect juxtaposition of science and art in one frame. The ultimate convergence!
